What is the cost of the exams?

The 5G Bell Labs End-to-End 5G Certification Program exams are 125 euros (based on exam delivery in Europe & North America). Pricing in other countries may vary slightly depending on country location.

The payment is processed in the currency of the user's location.

How many exam attempts can a participant make?
There is no limit on the number of times students can attempt to re-write an exam and there is no waiting period required before re-taking a written exam. Each new attempt requires the student to pay the exam fee on Pearson VUE.

What is the format of the exam?

The Bell Labs 5G written exams are multiple choice, closed book and proctored.

Foundation Exam = 40 questions
Professional Exam = 60 questions

The passing score is 70 %.

Are the courses required to obtain certification?
The courses are not required to attain the certifications however it is strongly recommended that students complete the related courses to fully prepare for the exam.

Are there any prerequisites for the Foundation Course?

There are no-requisites required for the course however it is recommended that students have a basic understanding of network technology before taking the course. Basic knowledge of the telecom industry and wireless networks is recommended.

How can I know what is covered in the exams?
An exam outline document is available from the Bell Labs Certification site that details what the exam will cover and the topic areas you need to prepare for. Practice exam questions are available on the Bell Labs certification site and give the best indication of the exam's difficulty level.  

When will I get my exam results and Certification?
It may take up to 72 hours for a student's exam result to be imported into the Student Portal. Once Nokia has received the result for an exam, the system will automatically send an acknowledgment of the result to the student.

My employer has asked for my proof of Certification, how do I get this? 
Certification status can be verified through one of the following options:

  1. Learning & Development Hub - "my badges" section.
  2. Sharing an eDiploma of your certification. To do this, log into your Student Portal account and navigate to "My Certifications" on the side menu. From here, you can download your certification eDiploma.

What is the difference between the exam and a certification?
Passing of the Nokia Bell Labs 5G Associate Exam recognizes you with the Nokia Bell Labs 5G Associate Certification.

Is the exam proctored?

Yes, the exams are proctored by Pearson Vue at their testing facilities, or remotely using PearsonVUE OnVUE.

How do I take the exams?

Live Proctoring : The exam will be delivered by the Pearson Vue testing center. You will need to locate a Pearson Vue testing facility near you and schedule your exam date and location.

Remote Proctoring: Remote Proctoring allows you to take the exam via a proctor in a remote location . For more information please see Pearson Vue’s web site at: https://home.pearsonvue.com/nokia/onvue 

As a Nokia employee is there a cost for me?
For Nokia employees, there is no cost to you to access the training course. There is a cost for employees who wish to sit for the certification exam.

How do I register for the associated course that is part of this certification?
Click on the “Courses” menu on the Bell Labs 5G Certification page. A link to register for the course can be found on that page. The course is accessed through the Nokia Learning and Development Hub.

Are there any Instructor Led options available for Foundation?
Instructor Led offerings are scheduled based on specific customer demand. To inquire about an instructor led session, please send an email to gcc.nokiaedu@nokia.com
