FileOpen DRM Courseware Cannot Print

Document printing is enabled for DRM-protected documents while connected to the internet. Please try closing Adobe Reader and reopening the document.

If it still does not appear to be working, try re-installing the FileOpen plugin from https://plugin.fileopen.com/all.aspx. You can also try redownloading Adobe Acrobat Reader onto your device to ensure you have the latest version. https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Select the Print icon, choose the printer you would like to use, then click "Print".

Here are some additional troubleshooting steps to try:

  1. Outdated or mismatched versions of the FileOpen plugin and Adobe Reader/Acrobat can cause odd behaviors like failed prints.
    • Visit FileOpen’s download page and ensure you have the latest plugin version.
    • Also ensure Adobe Acrobat/Reader is up to date.
  2. It’s possible the document is being sent to the print spooler but is getting stuck or dropped.
    • Check Print Queue:
    • Go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select "See what's printing".
    • See if the job appears and then disappears or stays stuck.
    • Try:
    • Restarting the Print Spooler service (via Services.msc).
    • Reinstalling or updating the printer drivers.
  3. Test whether this is a global issue or document-specific.
    • Try:
    • Printing a non-FileOpen protected PDF to the same printer.
